Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Retro Sexist

Photobucket

I'd like to thank the little people, and especially my women, for doin' my laundry and staying in the shadows.

Sexist idiot!

From Huffington Post
"You know, Jane Portman, Karen Kasich, and Janna Ryan, they operate an awful lot of the time in the shadows," he said, speaking of his wife and those of Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and GOP vice presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).
"It’s not easy to be a spouse of an elected official," he said. "You know, they’re at home, doing the laundry and doing so many things while we’re up here on the stage getting a little bit of applause, right? They don’t often share in it. And it is hard for the spouse to hear the criticism and to put up with the travel schedule and to have to be at home taking care of the kids. And where is the politician? Out on the road!"

Yep, that's us womenfolk, livin' the shadow life. I'd write more, but this senator's wife's gotta a load of socks with my name on it." She then posted a picture of her dog with the caption, "Yet again, the hard, shadowy life of the political dog is completely ignored. FYI, Governor Kaisch: When it comes to the laundry in this house, I'm the beast of burden."

These teapublicans definitely want to return to the 50's. Keep them women home and pregnant. Rand Paul even wants to go back to segregation.

This whole Republican fiasco is so sad it's not even funny anymore. Remember in November!

Oh, the difficult life of the elected public official and his wife...
A nice salary, top notch healthcare, a generous pension, and perquisites that would make the average person's head spin.
Tell it to the enlisted troops sitting in the scorchingly hot desert of Iraq or the nightmare of Afghanistan (a place you more than likely voted to send them) and the wife at home juggling a job, shuttling the kids around, and doing the work of two parents including the laundry.
Cry me a river, Kasich. You elitist, misogynist pr*ck.

The thing that scares me is that these men have absolutely zero idea at how offensive they are being.

This is what happens when you watch too many Leave It To Beaver reruns.

I hope that when he goes home tonight, she meets him at the door and sweetly kicks his motherf***ng teeth in. Lady ninja-style.
