RNC Proclaims Trump is King

In honor of Christmas (maybe) the RNC has proclaimed that Trump is not only President, he is King of Kings, and comparable to Jesus.

Really. Read the RNC Statement:
WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chair Sharon Day released the following statement celebrating Christmas:

“Merry Christmas to all! Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King. We hope Americans celebrating Christmas today will enjoy a day of festivities and a renewed closeness with family and friends.

“Even as we celebrate, we must also remember those among us who are less fortunate. Many on this day are without hope, and need the kindness and compassion of those around them. It is our prayer we will rise to meet the material, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals all around us, and what better day is there to love our fellow man than today?

“As we open presents, enjoy Christmas dinner, and celebrate our own family traditions, we are mindful of our men and women in uniform. Many are stationed around the world today protecting our freedoms, and cannot be with their own spouses, children, parents, and siblings. We express the deepest gratitude for service that takes them away from celebrating with loved ones, and we ought to remember them in our thoughts and prayers not just on Christmas Day, but the whole year round.”

It’s the “this Christmas” and “new King” in the same sentence that have gotten Priebus in trouble, in a seemingly obvious reference to Donald Trump currently being on the verge of taking office and effectively taking over the United States. But now he’s insisting to CNN that he was in fact referring to Christ, even though the RNC Christmas message he sent out last year made no mention of any “King” one way or the other.

Sarah Palin's Inquisition ~ Let's "Baptize" Terrorists With Waterboarding

Oh, Sarah Palin - there she goes again. When she isn't shooting off a gun she is shooting off her mouth. This Gun-Loving Mama Grizzly who thinks them Libruls is out to "Steal Her Christmas" now equates Waterboarding with Baptism in a new low even for her. Jesus would not be amused, anymore than he was by the Spanish Inquisition. Did I mention she said this to the NRA and they cheered? Yeah, Jesus wouldn't like that either. This woman was almost our vice president. Oh dear Lord, thank you for saving us.

Actions to stop terrorists who’d utterly annihilate America and delight in massacring our innocent children? Darn right I’d do whatever it takes to foil their murderous jihadist plots – including waterboarding. Whatever one thinks of my one-liner at the NRA rally about treating evil terrorists the way they deserve to be treated to prevent the death of innocent people, it’s utterly absurd for MSNBC to suggest that I could put our beloved troops in harm’s way, but we’ve come to expect the absurd from that failing network.

If you want to talk about what really harms our troops, let’s talk about politicians who gut our military’s budgets, or a president whose skewed budgetary priorities slash military benefits, or an administration that puts our vets on endless waiting lists for care that comes too late to help those who’ve paid the price for our freedom, or those who break bread with those who think it makes no difference how our military heroes died in Benghazi or anywhere else trying to protect America. OK, stop. Not only is this woman, putatively a Christian, praising torture, but she is comparing it to a holy sacrament of the Christian faith. It’s disgusting — but even more disgusting, those NRA members, many of whom are no doubt Christians, cheered wildly for her.
Palin and all those who cheered her sacrilegious jibe ought to be ashamed of themselves. For us Christians, baptism is the entry into new life. Palin invoked it to celebrate torture. Even if you don’t believe that waterboarding is torture, surely you agree that it should not be compared to baptism, and that such a comparison should be laughed at. What does it say about the character of a person that they could make that joking comparison, and that so many people would cheer for it. Nothing good — and nothing that does honor to the cause of Jesus Christ.

There is Nothing in my upbringing in Wasilla that ever promoted or tolerated the idea that it is ok, good, or necessary to torture anyone.

Fox's Megyn Kelly Tells Kids Jesus was White, just like Santa

For all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white....Santa is what he is.... I wanted to get that straight.

Pope Attack on Money-Worship Leaves Righties "Spitting with Rage"

Francis went further than previous comments criticizing the global economic system, attacking the "idolatry of money" and beseeching politicians to guarantee all citizens "dignified work, education and healthcare".

He also called on rich people to share their wealth. "Just as the commandment 'Thou shalt not kill' sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value of human life, today we also have to say 'thou shalt not' to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills," Francis wrote in the document issued on Tuesday.

"How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses 2 points?"

The pope said renewal of the Church could not be put off and said the Vatican and its entrenched hierarchy "also need to hear the call to pastoral conversion".

I have been numerous times to the Vatican. It wouldn't exist without tons of money. But regardless, what this is, somebody has either written this for him or gotten to him. This is just pure Marxism coming out of the mouth of the pope. Unfettered capitalism? That doesn't exist anywhere. Unfettered capitalism is a liberal socialist phrase to describe the United States. Unfettered, unregulated.

"Pope Francis said that trickle-down policy..." We hear about trickle-down policies? "Pope Francis said that trickle-down policies have not proven to work."
Oh, but they have. It's exactly what Obama is trying to create, in fact, although he wouldn't dare call it that. When you hear Obama talking about job creation and people going to work and roads and bridges being -- what the hell is it but trickle-down? The left has defined trickle-down as the rich are compassionate and give people things. And when that doesn't happen, they say that trickle-down doesn't work. The left has bastardized terms and definitions to the point that trickle-down's become a dirty word.
Trickle-down is human nature! Trickle-down is exactly what happens when you engage in economic activity. You spend money and it trickles down to everybody you spend it with, and then it trickles down to everybody they end up interacting with economically. Trickle-down is precisely what happens. But the left has defined trickle-down as the rich are supposed to give the money that they don't need away to people.

. . . despite the fact that I was well and expensively educated by the Benedictines to be a good Catholic gentleman I’m afraid that my reaction to it is barely controlled rage, so much so that I am close to taking the name of Il Pappa in vain. For in the section on economics and development the Pontiff seems to misunderstand the very world that we live in. He claims that we are such slaves to a market driven society that we have lost touch with the travails of the poor and are allowing inequality to increase. This being the exact obverse of what is really happening out there in the universe that we actually inhabit.
. . . everything is moving in the right direction even if not quite as gloriously fast as we would like it to be.
And as I say that’s what has me spitting with rage and coming close to snarling at the good and brave man who is the current Pope. The market based economic system that he is complaining about is exactly the economic system that is in the process of solving the problems that he identifies.

A House stenographer was pulled out of the House chamber while shouting into the microphone during Wednesday’s vote on a compromise bill to end the government shutdown and raise the debt limit.

The woman was Dianne Reidy, an official reporter with the Office of the Clerk, two sources told ABC News.

She was heard shouting “the House is divided,” according to one source. She was pulled off the rostrum by chamber security staff.

“He will not be mocked,” the woman said, according to an audio recording of the incident posted online by Public Radio International reporter Todd Zwillich. “This is not one nation under God. It never was.”

“The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under god! It never was. Had it been, it would not have been! The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons!” she added.

The incident caused a moment of chaos in the chamber as the presiding member, Rep. Ileana Ros Lehtinen, R-Fla., repeatedly banged the gavel, trying to restore order.

“Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand,” Bachmann continued. “When we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this; these days would be as the days of Noah.”

The SNL parody reworked the lyrics to Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" around the government shutdown, with Cyrus and cast member Taran Killam impersonating Bachmann and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH). Bachmann said after the show aired, she received calls in her office from people who believed it was her appearing in the video.
“I will tell you, as a 57-year-old woman, it’s been a long time since I’ve been confused for a 20-year-old,” Bachmann said. “I’ve never done twerking in my life and I don’t intend to take it up.”

I hope she's right. May all the Christian Tea Party be swept off this planet in one instant and may it happen soon. Obama Look-Alike Plays Satan on History Channel Bible Series

The History channel and executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey have responded to news reports picking up on the similarity between the actor and Obama.

“History channel has the highest respect for President Obama," a statement from the History channel read. "The series was produced with an international and diverse cast of respected actors. It's unfortunate that anyone made this false connection. History's 'The Bible' is meant to enlighten people on its rich stories and deep history."

“This is utter nonsense," Burnett said. "The actor who played Satan, Mehdi Ouzaani, is a highly acclaimed Moroccan actor. He has previously played parts in several Biblical epics -- including Satanic characters long before Barack Obama was elected as our President.”

"Both Mark and I have nothing but respect and love our President, who is a fellow Christian," Downey added. "False statements such as these are just designed as a foolish distraction to try and discredit the beauty of the story of The Bible.”

BURNETT: Twitter exploded over a comment about a character in the hugely popular History Channel show, "The Bible." The character was Satan. And the comment was Satan looks like the president of the United States.

Now, "The Bible" is produced by "The Survivor" and "Voice" producer Mark Burnett and his wife, Roma Downey. It is, as the name implies, a retelling of the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation.

This weekend, right wing radio host Glenn Beck tweeted something about the show. Quoting Beck, quote, "Anyone else think the devil in 'The Bible' Sunday on History Channel looks exactly like that guy?"

"That guy" is what Glenn Beck calls President Obama, maybe he doesn't respect him enough to use his title. According to Beck, Mehdi Quazanni, the actor who plays the devil in the series looks like the president.

Now, Beck has his followers, which is why his tweet took off. Since the broadcast, more than 20,000 tweets containing the words Obama and Satan have been posted. The producers of the show called any resemblance utter nonsense.

Today, Beck took to Twitter again and not to clarify. He said this: "Media, relax. Actor has been in similar roles before. Funny, nothing more. For different reasons, 'The Bible' is one of my fave shows. Keep watching."

Actor has been in similar roles before. In the world of Glenn Beck, that means he's definitely a ringer for the president because this isn't the first time he's made that comparison.

BURNETT: There are people, yes. At least Beck's not alone. There is one other person who compares the president of the United States to the devil. Not that guy. This guy. He said the United States has, quote, "entrusted themselves to the devil."

Despite what Beck says, his tweet had a purpose and it was dark.

Are we surprised that some people in Arizona want to pose with automatic weapons? No. Is it a little sickening that these are Christmas pictures with Santa and small children? Yes. Especially in the state where Gabby Giffords was brutally shot in the head. I guess they've forgotten the movie massacre in Colorado as well. Ho ho ho.
Funny - the Tea Party likes to talk about religion and family values, and I don't remember any automatic weapons in the Biblical Christmas story. In that story, there were parents (Mary and Joseph) trying to protect a small baby (Jesus) from being killed by someone with no regard for life (King Herod). Remember that? NO guns. God told Joseph to flee with his family to Egypt rather than "standing his ground" against the government. They didn't lock and load, they just moved away to a safer place.
And Brian Kilmeade suggesting that they arm the Easter Bunny as well? This stuff really puts him in the Saturday Night Live Hall of Fame, but it isn't funny.

PHOENIX - An Arizona gun club is offering a chance for children and their families to pose for photos with Santa while holding pistols and military-style rifles.

One image shows Santa in a wingback chair with a snowflake background, a Christmas tree behind him and flanked by an $80,000 machine gun and a tripod-mounted rifle. Next to Santa is a man standing behind a boy, who is holding an unloaded AR-15 with an attached grenade launcher.

In another photo, Santa cradles a toddler dressed in camouflage, while a man and woman stand close by with rifles with foldable stocks. In yet another image, five beaming young ladies pose with AR-15, an AK-47 variant and other rifles as they surround old Saint Nick.

. . . "Our customers have been looking for a fun and safe way to express their holiday spirit and passion for firearms," said Kennedy, noting people have used the photos for Christmas cards and Facebook posts.

The guns used in the photos aren't loaded and have had their firing pins removed, and their chambers are regularly cleared to ensure safety, Kennedy said.


Ron Kennedy, Manager of Scottsdale Gun Club: It started three years ago . . . We decided to put together a structured Santa-Machine Gun Event.

Brian Kilmeade: What do you say to the people who think we're sending the wrong message, Santa and guns? 'Get my Christmas list filled out or else.'

Kennedy: I think whenever you talk about firearms it's always a divisive issue with some folks. It's a very black and white industry. Either you like them and support them or you don't. What we're trying to do is add a little holiday spirit into people's Second Amendment rights to be able to carry and purchase firearms.

Gretchen Carlson: It's anyone's right to do whatever they want, especially in terms of the Second Amendment. I know there is a member of Congress in Arizona, a Democratic member who is sensitive to the Gabby Giffords shooting incident and thinks maybe this is not the right image to portray. How would you respond back to that gentleman?

Kennedy: Well, I think people have an individual choice to make. If they don't want to participate in this they don't have to. It's not - it's basically something we provide as a service to our customers and members. We do go all through the safety precautions. Remove the firing pins. No fingers on the triggers. We do a completely free firearms safety class for families. So we definitely want to educate people about shooting sports and proper shooting techniques.

Brian Kilmeade: Do you think there is a chance that this could spread to Easter and have the Easter Bunny and families with guns?

Kennedy, Gun Store Manager: (No plans to do other holidays) Santa’s been supportive… He likes seeing the families enjoy the shooting sports together.

Kilmeade: Why not arm Santa?

Kennedy: Santa does not carry a firearm.

Gretchen Carlson: I think that’s a good idea, actually.

During a fact-finding congressional trip to the Holy Land last summer, Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.) took off his clothes and jumped into the sea, joining a number of members, their families and GOP staff during a night out in Israel, the sources told POLITICO. Other participants, including the daughter of another congressman, swam fully clothed while some lawmakers partially disrobed. More than 20 people took part in the late-night dip in the sea, according to sources who were participants in the trip.

. . . The Sea of Galilee, a Christian holy site, is where Jesus is said in the Bible to have walked on water.

The FBI looked into whether any inappropriate behavior occurred, but the interviews do not appear to have resulted in any formal allegations of wrongdoing.

But Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), who was the senior most GOP lawmaker in Israel on the trip, was so upset about the antics that he rebuked the 30 lawmakers the morning after the Aug. 18, 2011, incident, saying they were distracting from the mission of the trip.

Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was also on the privately funded excursion, which means two of the three top Republicans were a part of this trip. Neither Cantor nor McCarthy went swimming that night, the sources said. Some of their staff did.

Here's why:
1. On official duty.
2. Official duty paid for by a private agency but still being paid a government salary.
3. Costs upwards of $10,000.00 per person.
4. If the trip/expenses were not reported on the yearly disclosure forms, expect a visit from the IRS as well.

This could have implications at least for (Ben) Quayle, the son of the former vice president. Ben Quayle has significant primary opposition for his Arizona seat from Dave Schweikert, a tea party-backed candidate.

Ben Quayle is still an embarrassment to AZ and our country. It's not bad enough he was a founder of an adult website disparaging women, but now mocking the Congressional seat. Who paid for this trip? I'm sure we did. How much did it cost us?
