Trump Shames the U.S. at G-20 Meeting

 photo Trump - Merkel.jpg

The illegitimate President of the United States went to Europe for the G20 Summit Meeting, but his real goal seems to have been to hook-up with his bromance partner, Vladimir Putin. Trump showed his true colors and may have committed treason - again - by accepting Putin's lame denial about hacking the 2016 election, which contradicts America's own Intelligence community as well as information from out allies.

But when has Trump ever understood who our friends are and who our enemies are? He only wants to take care of number one - himself - and he owes money and the Presidency to Russia and Putin. If people didn't understand the meaning of "Kompromat" before the G20, surely they can understand it now.

And on top of all that, he took Ivanka with him and she sat in his place during some of the meetings. Ivanka has never been elected to public office, nor does she have any government experience. Dictators do things like this, not American Presidents. We don't live in a monarchy, but Trump still believes he is King and Ivanka is Daddy's Princess.

Jeff Sessions Can't Handle the Truth

 photo 09246f5a-cf1a-4709-89ef-d2898526db1c.jpg

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, Confederate Attorney General of the United States of Trump, had trouble speaking the truth last week before the Senate Intelligence Committee. He insisted that he did nothing wrong while making numerous contacts with Russians - most of whom he said he couldn't remember - during the Trump campaign for President, even though he has recused himself from the investigation about Russian interference in the election, which would seem to imply some kind of guilt.

The Trump White House said the President was NOT claiming Executive Privilege to keep Sessions silent, and Sessions agreed. But then he waffled continuously on answers about his discussions with Trump for no apparent legal reason, infuriating some Senators who just want the truth to come out.

He also had the gall to tell Senator Kamala Harris of California that she made him "nervous," which raised eyebrows since she is a person of color and he has been known to pal around with the racist Alt-Right crowd. None of the white men on the Committee made him "nervous."

When President Trump met with the Russian Ambassador and another Russian Operative in the Oval Office a few weeks ago, the big story at the time was that the American journalists were not allowed in the room.

But now the story has become something much worse and possibly world-shaking - while the Russians were there, Trump started bragging about U.S. intelligence on ISIS and let something slip that was so Top Secret that many in the government did not know about it, and some networks were told to hold back reporting it. Even more troubling, Trump's blabbing may have gotten the source of the information killed.

Trump sent General McMaster out twice to issue non-denial-denials on the issue, but in the end Trump himself admitted in a tweet that he had blurted out secret information. In 24 hours the story went from denial to acceptance as the norm. But there is nothing normal about this situation.

#Russiagate Speculation Round-Up

 photo Trump Russia.png

The American people are mostly in the dark about investigations into Trump's Russian connections and the way it influenced the 2016 election. We know the election was hacked, but not all the whys and wherefores about how it was done and why. There are some good guesses out there, but many things are still unclear.

We know that just about everyone in the Trump Administration has some link to Putin or Russia, from Flynn to Manafort to possible spy Carter Page. Even the Trump children are suspect. But will any of them ever pay for being traitors to their country?

Was FBI Director James Comey complicit in helping Trump win the election, or was he an unwitting pawn of Putin? Can his secret investigations and Grand Juries atone in the future for the way he brought up the Hillary Clinton email scandal right before the election?

Luckily for the American people, there are some folks with "sources" as well as journalists who have kept the Russian story at the forefront, making sure it doesn't get lost in the nonsense and noise of the Trump news cycle.

For an excellent detailed overview of the whole "Trump-Russia" mess with important links, this article is a must-read:

Lawfare Blog: Seven Theories about the "Laffaire Russe" and What Could It All Mean?
. . . What should we make of this bizarre constellation of facts? The honest answer for anyone who wishes to avoid speculation is that we don’t know. The facts are potentially consistent with a range of different explanations, some relatively anodyne, some quite alarming. So let’s consider seven different plausible theories of the Russia Connection case—wherein we define “plausible” as broadly consistent with all or most of the known facts. These different theories assign different relative salience to those known facts, link them differently, and make very different assumptions about the many facts that are not known or are claimed but disputed.
As a general matter, we avoid predicting which of these theories is most likely to be the true. We will say, however, that the two most extreme theories we lay out—everything as giant coincidence (Theory #1) and Trump himself as a Russian agent (Theory #7)—seem to us highly improbable. That leaves us with a number of intermediate alternatives that are by no means mutually exclusive and that might operate in conjunction with one another.

Not everyone who studies the Trump-Russia problem is a Carl Bernstein, a Rachel Maddow, or a Dan Rather - but please note that those great journalists as well as many others have not dismissed any speculation as "too far out" to be reported - yet. They all know our government is in dire straits if we don't do something soon. I believe anyone can be a hero in this situation, and anyone who is an enemy of Trump and his Russian-loving traitors is a friend of the American people.

Keith Olbermann covers the speculators towards the end of this video and why they should be given credence:

There's the old saying "A prophet is never respected in their own country," and that's never been more true than at this dangerous time. But I believe when someone is proven correct over and over, maybe they have the real goods on Trump. Please keep your minds open because the truth is already stranger than any spy novel ever written.

Nunes Goes Nuts Over Trump-Russia

 photo Nunes.png

Representative Devin Nunes, R-California, is head of the House Intelligence Committee which has been looking into the connection between the Trump campaign and Russian hacking of the DNC last year.

But suddenly, he decided to have a press conference the other day, discussing secret material he had allegedly seen that would be damning to the Trump White House. He seemed to be tipping-off the members of Trump inner-circle that things they have said are on the record in secret documents.

Nunes did not share these revelations with the others on the Intelligence Committee, and it is probably illegal for him to discuss such matters at an open press conference. So why did he do it? Do the Russians have something on him? Was he threatened by Putin or others?

Stay tuned - we will hear more about this in the future for sure.

A hearing on Capitol Hill for FBI Director James Comey connected the Trump Administration to Russian hackers who infiltrated both the DNC and RNC last year during the election, but only used the information to attack the campaigns of Democrats. Comey seems to be trying to redeem himself after his shocking press conference last fall when he mentioned new emails belonging to Hillary Clinton as if she was under investigation, but later admitted they were nothing. Many believe that Comey's actions were a misuse of power to sway an American election, even if he didn't seem to anticipate that he was ruining his own credibility along with the rest of the FBI.

But now it seems that it was Trump and his cronies under investigation since last July for their possible collusion with Russia and Wikileaks in hacking the DNC servers and releasing their emails. This revelation followed Trump's strange accusation that President Obama had wiretapped Trump Tower last year, which Comey disputed. It wasn't Obama, but the FBI which had FISA warrants to listen to Trump Tower because of possible treason going on with Putin.

Maybe Comey can finally do something good for his country by setting in motion the impeachment of President Trump.

Flynn Flap a Big Flop for Trump

 photo Wheels Off.jpg

So Mike Flynn, Trump's pick for National Security Advisor, was a paid lobbyist for a foreign government and lied about it!

Does this shock anyone at this point? No. Everyone's lying, but they aren't really getting away with it anymore.

From NBC News
Flynn was fired last month after it was determined he misled Vice President Mike Pence about Flynn's conversations with the Russian ambassador to the United States. His security clearance was suspended.
When NBC News spoke to Alptekin in November, he said he had no affiliation with the Turkish government and that his hiring of Flynn's company, the Flynn Intel Group, had nothing to do with the Turkish government.
But documents filed this week by Flynn with the Department of Justice paint a different picture. The documents say Alptekin "introduced officials of the Republic of Turkey to Flynn Intel Group officials at a meeting on September 19, 2016, in New York."

"Happy Friday...so the wheels are coming off a little bit. If the wheels themselves are not yet off, you're starting to hear the sound of lugnuts stripping their threads and pinging across lanes of traffic while the wheels start to wobble. There's a little bit of a freakout going on right now in Washington..."
~ Rachel Maddow, March 10, 2017

Heated Exchange About Flynn via Yahoo News:
(Sean Spicer, Trump spokesman:) There are certain private citizen's activities that you conduct and you seek counsel on or professional advice. That's not up to the government. And that's exactly how the system worked."
Fox News' John Roberts then asked how that didn't raise a red flag.
Spicer cut him off and said, "You already had your question, John."
But Roberts continued.
"You have an attorney calling the transition that the person who is in line to be the national security adviser may need to register as a foreign agent," Roberts said. "And that doesn't raise a red flag?"
"It's not a question of raising a red flag, John," Spicer said. "It's a question of whether or not they gave them the advice they're supposed to, which is it is not up to them to make decisions as to what you need to do or not do. As you know, there are certain activities that fall under each of these requirements as far as what the threshold is, what activities, who the funding source was, etc. etc....
Another reporter then asked a follow-up question, pointing out that "this was an issue of judgment about who you guys wanted in your administration."

#RussiaGate Heats Up for Trump

 photo f3a77fa7-f57a-4891-9541-a5511ffde0d6.jpg

Things are getting stranger as more facts as well as speculation are being tossed around about the Trump Administration's connection to Russia both after the election as well as long before. Everyone in his Cabinet seems to have had some contact with Russian operatives, even Jeff Sessions who is now Attorney General who last week recused himself from any future investigations. And it is pretty clear that the FBI and NSA are looking at the situation as a grave matter of National Security.

From GuardianUK: "Will Russia connection become the Trump administration's Watergate?"
The US president’s joint address to Congress this week was well received but was rapidly overshadowed by revelations that his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, had twice spoken with the Russian ambassador during last year’s presidential election.
As it has emerged that other members of the Trump campaign – including his son-in-law Jared Kushner – also met with the ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, the Kremlin connection seems destined to be the putative scandal that will not go away for the White House.
...Congressman Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee, has called for Sessions to quit, saying he “clearly misled” the Senate about contacts with Russian officials, and demanded that a special prosecutor be appointed.
Schiff also accused the FBI director, James Comey, of withholding crucial information about its investigation into Russian meddling in the election, and raised the prospect of subpoenaing the agency.

From Washington Post:
Sessions failed to tell the truth during his confirmation hearings about meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, and allegedly no one in the White House knew of those meetings until The Washington Post broke the story last Wednesday.
During his confirmation hearing, Sessions was asked one question but answered another, and in so doing, did not tell the truth. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) asked Sessions, “If there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?”
This was a prospective question, with Franken asking the likely next attorney general how he would handle such allegations if intelligence officials produced such evidence. Sessions chose to answer it this way: “I’m not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign, and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I’m unable to comment on it.”

Trump himself wondered about possible government wiretaps inside Trump Tower, which would mean that the government definitely has suspicians of espionage. Trump wrongly aimed the blame on former President Obama, who never could have planted bugs anywhere because Presidents don't have the power to order wiretaps. Strangely the one taking up for Obama is James Comey, who just swayed the election to Trump with his erstwhile investigation of Hillary's emails.
