Darren Wilson Had No Injuries

Lies of Darren Wilson, No Fractured Eye Socket, No Police Report

The myth of Mike Brown among the white community in Ferguson, Missouri, is that he was a "black thug" who "attacked" Officer Darren Wilson through the window of his police car, and as a result Wilson was "fighting for his life" just like George Zimmerman fought against Trayvon Martin in the Florida "Stand Your Ground" case. So whatever happened to Mike Brown - being shot down in the street, twice through the head - was justified.

The only problem is, in both the Zimmerman Case and with Darren Wilson, there were hardly any injuries to the person claiming to be the "victim," while the "Young Thugs" can't defend themselves because they are lying dead in the street.

In the case of the Ferguson shooting, there were no apparent injuries to Darren Wilson, and he didn't receive any treatment from paramedics on the scene after Mike Brown was shot.

As reported by Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs:
Two videos released today by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch show Officer Darren Wilson (in a white T-shirt) at the police station immediately after he shot Michael Brown to death in Ferguson; the first shows him leaving the station to go to the hospital, the second shows him returning from the hospital.
These videos are the final word on St. Louis hate-blogger Jim Hoft’s “fractured eye socket” hoax — because there are absolutely no visible injuries to Wilson’s face, and when he returns from the hospital there are no bandages, either. If he was indeed struck by Michael Brown, it could not have been severe enough to fracture his eye socket; by this time there would have been severe pain and swelling, but here we see Wilson walking casually with no assistance and in no apparent discomfort. Hardly the behavior of a man who had just suffered a “savage beating,” as Jim Hoft (and other right wing media) claimed.

And there you have it:

Lies of Darren Wilson ~ No Broken Eye Socket and No Police Report

Twitter was abuzz last week after material was released saying that Michael Brown had given police officer Darren Wilson an eye-socket fracture during their tussle through the window of a police car. Somehow Darren Wilson supporters thought that would mitigate or explain the way he shot the young man down in anger or pain or whatever.

The source was This post by Gateway Pundit
The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.
. . . Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket.” This comes from a source within the Prosecuting Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.

The bogus eye report was accompanied by what appeared to be some type of diagram or X-ray of Wilson's head injury.

 photo xcranial-.jpg

Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs exposed that the picture wasn't connected to Wilson at all, but was lifted from a website and edited:
And there’s more evidence that Hoft is trying to pull a fast one again; here is the original image posted at the AAPOS site, showing a CT scan of a blowout fracture (on the left), compared to the image posted at Gateway Pundit by Hoft (on the right):

 photo fb4077ce-db07-4717-b06f-2f8d949c6df8.jpg

Notice the difference? In the version posted by Jim Hoft, the text at bottom right that says “UNIV OF IOWA” has been crudely erased. Caught you, Jim.
Was Hoft trying to mislead his readers into thinking this was the actual X-ray (or CT scan) of Darren Wilson? His text does not make it clear it wasn’t Wilson’s CT scan — and the words “UNIV OF IOWA” have been blacked out, quite deliberately.
If Hoft’s intent was to mislead, it worked. All over Twitter and right wing blogs, the wingnuts are raving about “Darren Wilson’s X-ray” that shows a fractured eye socket — but this is just a generic example image of an unknown person’s CT scan.

CNN also reported that the whole story about the "Orbital Socket" injury wasn't true.

From CNN Transcript August 21, 2014
LEMON: OK. We're learning some information regarding officer Darren Wilson's supposed injuries that we have been discussing and talking about here.

One of those injuries that has not been reported by CNN, but it's making its way around other media organizations and also on the Internet -- here's the thing. So according to a source close to the investigation, the officer, Darren Wilson, did go to the hospital after the altercation and the shooting death of Michael Brown.

He did have X-rays done. He had a swollen face. But the X-rays for a broken or a torn eye socket came back negative. That source says it is not true at all. He did not have a torn eye socket. And so he is saying that unequivocally -- he unequivocally denies that, saying it did not happen. But he did have a swollen face. He did go for X-rays. And that is the very latest on that. But he said obviously there was some sort of scuffle, Brooke, because, you know, it was swollen. But that eye socket tear, whatever, it's called a tear or rupture or fracture to the orbital lobe -- Brooke.

BALDWIN: OK. OK, so a source saying he did not have this broken or fractured eye socket.

LEMON: Did not. Did not.

That won't come as a surprise to anyone who has followed this case, since Wilson is seen casually walking around Mike Brown's dead body in the street instead of holding onto his own eye and screaming in pain. No paramedics are seen giving him assistance either.

The Non-Report

The Ferguson Police Department finally released a "report" on the death of Michael Brown, but there are some major problems. It is barely a report at all - just a one page of fill-in-the-blanks boilerplate with nothing attached to it.

As President Obama might say, quoting Gertrude Stein, "There's no there there." It's a non-report report.

View it here, via the ACLU

From The Wire
The incident report the Ferguson Police Department has on file has little more than the who, where and when of the shooting. It doesn't say what happened, it doesn't say how, and it wasn't even reviewed by a supervisor until 10 days after Michael Brown died. The report was given final approval on August 20.
. . . It's clear now that Ferguson police knew then that they didn't have the incident report they were asked to release. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell argued that Jackson essentially admitted there was no incident report last week when he said "we've pretty much given you every bit of information that we have now — I don't think there's anything else that we have to give out."

Lawrence O'Donnell did indeed predict that there wouldn't be much of a report, and his reasoning was that Darren Wilson would be told by the Police Union attorney not to incriminate himself by putting the story of that day into writing, in effect, setting himself up to plead the fifth amendment. However, that is little consolation to the family of Michael Brown, or the citizens of Ferguson, or the country for that matter, that Darren Wilson is planning to avoid any responsibility for killing Michael Brown.

From Yahoo News
The two-page document, which the Ferguson Police Department released only after pressure from journalists and civil liberties advocates, is largely redacted or left blank. The most egregious omissions are the victim’s name and a description of the offense – the fatal shooting of Brown.
“They are breaking the law,” said Tony Rothert, legal director of the ACLU of Missouri.
The report, obtained by Yahoo News through the Missouri Sunshine Law, lists only the date, time and location. Fields for the type of incident, name of the complainant, and a summary of the circumstances are redacted.
. . . Missouri’s Sunshine Law states law enforcement agencies must promptly provide incident reports that include among other things, “name of the victim and immediate facts and circumstances surrounding the initial report of a crime or incident.”

Reince Priebus Has Oozing Eyeballs, Can't See the Truth

priebusABC-lorre

pic by snark amendment

I'll tell you about specifics. First of all, Mitt Romney talks about, all the time, about reducing the GDP spending from 25 cents on the dollar down to 20, reducing small business taxes from 35 to 25, reducing income taxes across the board by 20 percent.

I mean, for crying out loud, we’ve got Paul Ryan on the ticketAs far as specifics go, we're the only ones talking about how to save Medicare. The president's the one that raided Medicare by $700 billion.

I mean, we've got specifics coming out of our eyeballs.

We need to keep pounding away on those specifics and keep talking about those specifics so that the American people know.
~ Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, on ABC News This Week

Talking About Romney's "Hell Week" beginning with the Secret 47% Video and ending with releasing one tax return that was still controversial, plus having a tantrum on Univision, Reince told George Stephanopoulos of ABC News:
I think that we had a good week last week, I think in retrospect, in that we were able to frame up the debate last week in the sense of, what future do we want,” Priebus said this morning on “This Week.”

“I think we can look back at last week as a campaign in a couple months and say, this was the defining week in both campaigns,” Priebus said earlier, “where I think both campaigns are crystallizing around a central theme, which is going to be, what kind of future do we want for our kids and grandkids? What type of America do we want for this country?”

. . . he conceded that last week was not the “best” of the campaign for Romney.

“I think Governor Romney’s been pretty clear, it probably wasn’t the best-said moment in the campaign and probably not the best week in the campaign,” Priebus said.

I don’t know what prism he’s looking through. I don’t think anybody else would define it as a good week. But it was an enlightening week. The week began with Governor Romney basically slandering 47 percent of America, saying that they were, you know, hooked on dependency, didn’t pay their taxes, and so on.

~ Obama Adviser David Axelrod on ABC's This Week

Not only did Priebus sound like he was hung over from a bad night on Ambien, but he also carried on Team Romney’s tradition of spouting blatant hypocrisy and provable lies.

Outwardly Defining the Private Ryan

Photobucket
Via Hey Girl, It's Paul Ryan Tumblr

How many adjectives are there?

He’s the cutest package that cruelty ever came in. He has a winning air of sad cheerfulness. He’s affable, clean cut and really cut, with the Irish altar-boy widow’s peak and droopy, winsome blue eyes and unashamed sentimentality.
Who better to rain misery upon the heads of millions of Americans?
He’s Scrooge disguised as a Pickwick, an ideologue disguised as a wonk. Not since Ronald Reagan tried to cut the budget by categorizing ketchup and relish as vegetables has the G.O.P. managed to find such an attractive vessel to mask harsh policies with a smiling face.
~ Maureen Dowd in The New York Times "When Cruelty is Cute"

Paul Ryan is 42 years old, looks a decade younger, and exudes a youthful energy that a graying President Obama may not be able to match deep into the fourth year of his presidency.
But does any of that really matter to younger voters?
~ Real Clear Politics

It’s like a gypsy put a curse on you. "Hello media, you will babble bulls**t until a sad-eyed man from the north country is chosen by a Mormon.
. . . Alright we get it, the guy’s a workout machine. He’s cut like Captain America, he can catch catfish with his bare hands. Is there any substance we can talk about here?”
. . . Those eyes, they’re just so blue. I just can’t look away.

Paul Ryan -- He's Hiding A 6 Pack!!!

The photo reveals Ryan has a flat tummy, and a low body fat percentage, as he's promised, but no six-pack abs. That's because this photo was taken about six months before Ryan started his workout take P90X, TMZ reports. The photo does not reflect Ryan's current bod, the site says: "sources close to Paul's abs tell us Ryan has totally transformed his midsection in the past couple of years ... and now he's totally shredded with a killer 6-pack."
