Anti-Trump Faction Called "Special Snowflakes"

After eight years of listening to GOP complaints about President Obama being "illegitimate" and Congress trying to stonewall or reverse his legacy, it is quite surprising that they can turn around and label anyone anti-Trump to be a "special snowflake" in search of special treatment.

So this is where we are. While I'd rather be labeled a "Snowflake" than a "Libtard" or "Obamabot," calling us that will only help The Resistance and lead to a "blizzard of trouble" for President Trump.

Rudy Giuliani Goes After President Obama

Ex-Mayor of NYC, Rudy Giuliani, had a few things to say about President Obama while campaigning for GOP candidate Scott Walker, Governor of Wisconsin.

“I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America,” Giuliani said during the dinner at the 21 Club, a former Prohibition-era speakeasy in midtown Manhattan. “He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country.”

With Walker sitting just a few seats away, Giuliani continued by saying that “with all our flaws we’re the most exceptional country in the world. I’m looking for a presidential candidate who can express that, do that and carry it out.”

On Thursday, Giuliani gave an interview to the New York Times, bringing up the President's racial background, with a white mother and white grandparents...

In an interview with The New York Times, Mr. Giuliani dismissed the criticism and said he was describing the worldview that had shaped Mr. Obama’s upbringing.
“Some people thought it was racist — I thought that was a joke, since he was brought up by a white mother, a white grandfather, went to white schools, and most of this he learned from white people,” Mr. Giuliani said in the interview. “This isn’t racism. This is socialism or possibly anti-colonialism.”

But Thursday night on "The Kelly File," when host Megyn Kelly asked Giuliani if he wished to apologize, the 2008 presidential candidate doubled down on his criticism.

"Not at all. I want to repeat it," Giuliani said. "The reality is, from all that I can see of this president, all that I’ve heard of him, he apologizes for America, he criticizes America. ... This is an American president I’ve never seen before."

Giuliani said he doesn't think Obama believes in American exceptionalism, citing the president's remarks on police tactics in the wake of the Ferguson shooting, western atrocities in the name of religion and Obama's longtime association with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a controversial Chicago pastor.

But, Kelly countered, "a lot of liberals don't believe in American exceptionalism, but that doesn't mean they don't love America."

"I don't feel it," Giuliani said. "I don't feel this love of America (from Obama). I believe his initial approach is to criticize this country, and then afterwards to say a few nice things about it."















Today the Obama White House team invented a new hashtag:

A White House tweet Thursday about the designation of three new national monuments carried the hashtag "#ObamaLovesAmerica."
. . . White House spokesman Eric Schultz, noting that Giuliani himself has been doing "damage control" since the comments surfaced, said that "I will say I agree with him on one thing he said ... which is that it was a horrible thing to say."

Palin Post On Dog-Standing Displays Obama Derangement Syndrome

Sarah Palin last week posted some pictures of little son Trig standing on top the family dog. Later, the animal rights group PETA had some harsh words for Palin. And of course, Sarah being the way she is, there had to be a response and it had to be a kooky Palinesque word-salad that combines life in Alaska, fish eggs, "Librul" privilege, and Obama Derangement Syndrome. So it's all good for collectors of Palin-lore like myself.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk responded immediately to the photos:

“It’s odd that anyone — let alone a mother — would find it appropriate to post such a thing, with no apparent sympathy for the dog in the photo.”

And, as Palin bit back over the group’s initial comment, PETA responded again on Sunday.

“PETA simply believes that people shouldn’t step on dogs, and judging by the reaction that we’ve seen to Sarah Palin’s Instagram photo, we’re far from alone in that belief,” Newkirk said.

I believe you call those discarded funky eggs “caviar”.

Yeah, you’re real credible on this, PETA. A shame, because I’ll bet we agree on what I hope is the true meaning of your mission – respecting God’s creation and critters.

Our pets, including Trig’s best buddy Jill Hadassah, are loved, spoiled and cared for more than some people care for their fellow man whose politics may not mesh with nonsensical liberally failed ways or don’t fit your flighty standards.

Jill is a precious part of our world. So is Trig.

Good Old Sarah Palin never disappoints. Her latest word salad from her jumbled mind is that Libruls like Elizabeth Warren never eat fast food, and certainly not meat. We're all a buncha them thar' Vegans - you know, people who don't even want to build a big fire and roast the moose after God lets us shoot one of 'em from a helicopter. I love how she equates being a Vegan to being in Purgatory, as if eating meat sends us straight to heaven. Maybe it does if you think about hardening of the arteries, but I digress . . .

The real Purgatory is having to watch the Sarah Palin Channel.

Also too, we really have to wonder, ya know, if her verbal skills are a sign of, oh, I don't know, meeebeee early Dementia. Well, probably not. But still, and probably forever, Palin sounds like someone with too much anesthesia after a wisdom tooth operation. But all the time.

Also notice that Palin is dressed exactly like Warren and has blurred the video on purpose! A sharp-eyed @KatieAnnieOakley has screen-capped her doing this type of thing more than once, comparing Palin to the movie "Single White Female." LOL

We believe -- wait, I thought fast food joints -- don't you guys think that they're like of the devil or something? Liberals, you want to send those evil employees who would dare work at a fast food joint that you just don't believe in -- I don't know, I thought you wanted to send them to purgatory or something. Scarborough Attacks #UniteBlue as Freaky Fringe Extremist Haters - UPDATE: Non-Apology-Apology

"Morning Joe" Scarborough of MSNBC decided to launch an attack on the Progressive Twitter group #UniteBlue on Friday's show, and the members, including myself, did not take kindly to being called "fringe freaks" and "hate-mongers."

Even after the Unite Blue blog and countless tweets tried to set him straight about the group, Joe doubled down on Twitter. Maybe his real problem with us is that many Democratic candidates are joining to gain exposure and retweets, and it is helping them, especially in the South. We are the people who re-elected Barack Obama as President and ruined the nasty plans of the GOP. Sorry, Joe.

Unite Blue members are the most valuable demographic to most shows on MSNBC, and we haven't forgotten that Scarborough bragged that he helped get Martin Bashir fired for insulting Sarah Palin. Joe's pal, MSNBC Chief Phil Griffin, pandered to Palin when she got far-right Tea Party Twitter (#tcot) riled up, and Martin Bashir was thrown under the bus. But wait, Phil - isn't it the Dems and Obama supporters who are the entire "Lean Forward" Demographic?

Joe Scarborough, meanwhile, is leaning backwards and many liberals inside and outside of Unite Blue are calling for his resignation. Others just want Phil to make him apologize. I'm just glad to know how he really feels, and now we have it on the record.

After displaying his willful ignorance of normal, hardworking Americans, Joe Scarborough owes an apology to the mothers, fathers, retirees, millennials, activists, professionals and all other members of UniteBlue. Calling tens of thousands of good, decent people ‘freaks’ is a sweeping condemnation and makes you a hate monger.

Half a million Tweets per month use the hashtag #UniteBlue, more than #GOP or #TeaParty. It seems this has been getting under somebody’s skin. Nothing scares the Right more than a united Left, and its Joe Scarborough’s job to make progressive grassroots movements like UniteBlue look like a crazy, fringe group. That’s why he makes $100,000 per week while opposing a $10.10 per hour minimum wage.

Supporting unions and workers rights is not a fringe cause. This attack merely demonstrates how far the right has drifted, how out of touch Joe Scarborough has become with the mainstream, and how much the working class coming together scares certain people.

Dear Mr. Griffin:

Last Friday May 23, Joe Scarborough insulted thousands of honest, hardworking Americans who choose to organize under the banner of #UniteBlue, falsely alleging on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show that “these people are on the fringes; they’re freaks; they’re hate mongers.”

Mr. Scarborough owes an apology to the mothers, fathers, retirees, veterans, soldiers, activists, professionals and all members of UniteBlue. Calling tens of thousands of good, decent people ‘freaks’ is a sweeping condemnation and makes him a hate monger.

Half a million Tweets use #UniteBlue each month, more than #GOP or #TeaParty. Many of us are MSNBC viewers who were personally offended by these demeaning words and petty attacks. In response to the unprecedented outrage that resulted, Mr. Scarborough decided to double down instead of apologizing. This time he called each of us ‘extremists,’ and it’s really deeply offensive. Your entire network is being poisoned thanks to this behavior.

At this time, we are considering a number of petitions that have arisen calling for boycotts of Morning Joe and its sponsors. We have stood firmly against the promotion of hatred on the airwaves from others such as Rush Limbaugh, and cannot find any attempt on behalf of Joe Scarborough to move the political conversation forward meaningfully.

We respectfully request that Mr. Scarborough personally and publicly apologize for his comments on air and offer the opportunity for a UniteBlue representative to explain who we are; real people who want a voice in our democracy.

While this was not the full-throated apology that thousands requested, this display of respect is a promising first step, and we will continue to hold him accountable when political commentary devolves into disparaging and divisive attacks.
Now it’s time to move forward. We must continue to fight against the conservative politics of hate, division and fear, and once again affirm the audacity of hope, compassion and love.

Right Wingers Pop their Lids Over Coke Superbowl Ad

I knew when we saw this Coke commercial during the Super Bowl that Right Wing Heads were Splodin' all over the country, and Twitter proved that to be true. Americans not speaking perfect English? America the Beautiful in other languages! The horror! I want my country back!!! Some of them were so filled with hatred and apoplexy that they forgot that our National Anthem is "The Star-Spangled Banner" and not "America the Beautiful." Oops.

And American History Alert - the Spaniards were here before the British!


If we cannot be proud enough as a country to sing 'American the Beautiful' in English in a commercial during the Super Bowl, by a company as American as they come — doggone we are on the road to perdition.

We should be thankful for individuals like Edward Snowden and Glenn Greenwald who see injustice being carried out by their own government and speak out, despite the risk. They have done a great service to the American people by exposing the truth about what our government is doing in secret.

Edward Snowden is a hero

Michelle Obama Heckled by Gay Activist

Obama was addressing a Democratic Party fundraiser in a private Kalorama home in Northwest Washington when Ellen Sturtz, 56, a lesbian activist, interrupted her remarks to demand that President Obama sign an anti-discrimination executive order.

. . . “One of the things that I don’t do well is this,” she said to applause from most of the guests, according to a White House transcript. “Do you understand?”

A pool report from a reporter in the room said Obama “left the lectern and moved over to the protester.” The pool report quoted Obama as saying: “Listen to me or you can take the mic, but I’m leaving. You all decide. You have one choice.”

. . . The audience responded by asking Obama to remain, according to the pool report, which quoted a woman nearby telling Sturtz, “You need to go.”

Sturtz was escorted out of the room. She said in an interview later she was stunned by Obama’s response.
“She came right down in my face,” Sturtz said. “I was taken aback.”









The interruption came less than two weeks after President Obama faced a Code Pink protester who loudly advocated for the closure of the Guantanamo Bay prison during the president's national security speech.
The president, who was making his remarks before cameras and a large audience, handled the situation differently than his wife's confrontation Tuesday night.
"This is part of free speech, is you being able to speak but also you listening and me being able to speak, alright?" Obama said upon the interruption. The president has used the tactic before when interrupted.

Attendees escorted the protester out as she yelled further, at one point identifying herself as a “lesbian looking for federal equality before I die.”
Heather Cronk, a co-director of GetEqual, a group that advocates for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals, later identified the heckler as one of its activists, Ellen Sturtz. Three other GetEqual activists were also at the event, Ms. Cronk said.
Tickets for the event ranged in price from $500 to $10,000, Democratic Party officials said.

Sturtz, who was planted at the fundraiser by gay rights group GetEqual, stated that she was "taken aback" by Obama's response, because apparently the idea that she would do anything besides hand Sturtz the microphone and get her husband on the phone is surprising.

Notice the language Sturtz uses to describe the encounter. Rutgers Anthropology Ph.D student Donna Auston emphasizes that Sturtz’s word choice of “taken aback” is one of distinct privilege; Sturtz sees herself as above reproach in this situation. As Auston inquires, why was Sturtz surprised at Obama’s response? “Is it because you did not expect her to exercise agency? Did you not expect her to assert that she is your equal?” Auston asks. Either black women are supposed to tacitly accept maltreatment and disrespect, or when they do exercise their agency, they are branded as the “Angry Black Woman.”
The choice of words Sturtz employed indicate that she has cast the First Lady as the aggressor who over-zealously responded to reason with anger. And once you label a black woman as “angry,” you have, in essence, invalidated any response, no matter how justified or rational it may be. You can silence any challenge or dissenting thought from a black woman by even remotely alluding to this offensive stereotype.

President Obama has an executive order sitting on his desk that can protect a quarter of the labor force in the U.S. from workplace discrimination, we will continue engaging leaders in the Administration and the Democratic Party until President Obama fulfills a promise to our community made five years ago."

Andrea Tantaros Wants to Punch Out Obama Supporters

After the commercial break, a caller told Tantaros that he “can’t stand” Obama, but that as soon as he heard her suggest people should “punch Obama,” he immediately worried: “No, she didn’t just say that!”
“To be clear, I didn’t say punch Obama in the face,” Tantaros responded. “You’re going to get me arrested with this type of government.”
And then she re-asserted her initial request: “But if someone voted for him. If anyone that you know who voted for President Obama, smack them down.”
