On Sunday June 8th, 2014, two Las Vegas Metro policemen eating lunch at CiCi's Pizza and a bystander at Walmart were killed by a married couple, Amanda and Jerad Miller.

From NBC News
. . . the couple barged into CiCi's Pizza a few miles away, yelled “This is the start of a revolution!” and started firing, witnesses told police.

The officers, Alyn Beck, 42, and Igor Soldo, 32, were inside having lunch, and both were mortally wounded, Sheriff Doug Gillespie said.

Authorities said the suspects stripped the dead officers of their weapons and ammunition.

They covered one with a swastika and the Revolutionary War-era Gadsden flag, which depicts a coiled snake and the words “Don’t Tread On Me.” On the other officer was a note that said, "The revolution is beginning."

The shooters then headed to a Walmart, where Jerad Miller yelled, "Everyone get out!"

“They just said, ‘The revolution’s begun,’ they said that they shot some officers, and basically get out of the store if you don’t want to get hurt,” said Tyrone Ellis, who works at the store.

A shopper, Joseph Robert Wilcox, 31, of Las Vegas had a concealed weapon and decided to confront Jerad Miller, police said. As he walked toward the suspect, Amanda Miller came up behind him and shot him several times in the ribs, police said.

Why did they do it? Apparently they believed they believed every piece of anti-government propaganda spewed by Fox News, Alex Jones, and politicians like Rand/Ron Paul and Allen West. The Facebook page of the male shooter, Jarad Miller of Indiana, is full of your typical Tea Party anti-Obama stuff, which is perhaps what is most chilling about it - the familiarity. We see the same ideas over and over on message boards and Twitter, and no one takes it seriously, even the police. Well, hopefully this is a wake-up call.

According to Miller's Facebook, they were waiting for a "Revolution," and thought Bundy Ranch was the beginning. And while the couple went there and participated, they were eventually asked to leave. Miller got excited about Operation American Spring but that was a huge flop when no one showed up. Eventually, fueled by disgust at the government in general and angry at police who had arrested Jared for marijuana, the Millers decided they would be the ones to fire the first shots.

And even though this murder was committed by an obvious Libertarian Tea Party true believer, the intrepid Alex Jones immediately called it a "False Flag." I guess Obama must have really used some triple reverse psychology on Jerad and Amanda Miller to get them to do what Alex Jones is always saying the right wing should do - go and kill somebody for the cause of Liberty!

From Raw Story:
A May 28, 2012, post on Jones’ InfoWars site appears to have been made by Jerad Miller, who expressed frustration with his arrest on drug charges and vowed he would rather die than be labeled a criminal.
“I am like a wild coyote,” he wrote, using the user name “Jerad” and a Gadsden flag as his avatar. “You corner me, I will fight to the death.”
He goes on to say he’s “broken hearted” to see other Americans placated by materialism and celebrity worship as they submitted to tyranny.
“So, do I kill cops and make a stand when they come to get me?” the post continues. “I would prefer to die than sit in their jail, when I have done nothing to hurt anyone.”

I feel sorry for any federal agents that want to come in here and try to push us around or anything like that. I really don’t want violence towards them, but if they’re gonna come bring violence to us, well, if that’s the language they want to speak, we’ll learn it.

Why did the Millers leave Bundy Ranch?

AP story via Think Progress:
Cliven Bundy’s son told the Associated Press that “Jerad and Amanda Miller were asked to leave his father’s ranch after being there for a few days this spring,” claiming that they were “very radical.” “Not very many people were asked to leave,” he said. “I think they may have been the only ones.”
