Trump Junior Under Fire for Collusion

 photo Trump Jr - But Her Emails.jpg

pic via @RespectMyGame on Twitter

And so it finally begins - anonymous sources inside the White House ratted out Donald Trump's son, Don Jr., to the New York Times for a bombshell story about his meeting last year with a Russian lawyer who said she had access to Hillary Clinton's emails.

And everything Junior has written, tweeted, or posted since then has merely incriminated him even more. He's basically admitted to treason.

But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Son-in-law Jared Kushner and Manager Paul Manafort were also included in the email chain and attended the same meeting. They are both Kompromat with a capitol K.

From NBC News
WASHINGTON — Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer who he believed had damaging information about Hillary Clinton in the midst of the 2016 election — and wrote "I love it" about the prospect of getting his hands on the material, according to emails released Tuesday by the president's eldest son.

The email exchange shows an acquaintance with ties to Russia, music publicist Rob Goldstone, told the son of then-candidate Donald Trump last year that the attorney has "information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father."

. . . In an interview Tuesday night on Fox News Channel's "Hannity," Trump Jr. said: "Someone sent me an email! I can't help what someone sends me. I read it, I responded accordingly, and if there was something interesting there, I think that's pretty common."

"It was literally just a wasted 20 minutes, which was a shame," Trump Jr. told host Sean Hannity, but he added: "In retrospect, I probably would have done things a little differently."

David Wildstein Implicates Christie in #Bridgegate

 photo Chris-Christie-Inauguration.jpg

Huge Developments in the #Bridgegate Scandal today: David Wildstein filed a complaint through his attorney that the Port Authority of New Jersey wasn't going to help with his legal fees. Hidden in that complaint was a statement that he has information leading to the conclusion that Chris Christie lied during his press conference about the Fort Lee Bridge closure scandal. Christie's carefully worded response raises even more questions, as he now says he knew nothing about the lane closures "before" they happened, but nothing about "during." Is that evidence of guilt?

On Sunday, New Jersey hosts the Super Bowl, which would be a happy thing except that about 20 subpoenas from Christie minions are due to the Legislative Committee investigating Bridgegate the following day, on Monday. So this won't be the Super Bowl Party of his dreams. More like crying into his nachos.

From New York Times
In a letter released by his lawyer, the official, David Wildstein, a high school friend of Mr. Christie’s who was appointed with the governor’s blessing at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which controls the bridge, described the order to close the lanes as “the Christie administration’s order” and said “evidence exists as well tying Mr. Christie to having knowledge of the lane closures, during the period when the lanes were closed, contrary to what the governor stated publicly in a two-hour press conference” three weeks ago.

“Mr. Wildstein contests the accuracy of various statements that the governor made about him and he can prove the inaccuracy of some,” the letter added.

From CNN Political Ticker: "Who is David Wildstein?" January 9, 2014
"He's made a point to stay in the shadows and be the person directing the show from behind the curtain," said Shawn Boburg, a reporter for the Bergen County Record who wrote a profile of Wildstein in 2012.

Until he resigned last month, Wildstein was the director of interstate capital projects for the New York and New Jersey Port Authority. But his unofficial title was maybe even more important: Chris Christie confidante.

"Wildstein was known as the Governor's eyes and ears inside this massive agency," Boburg said.
While the Port Authority had historically operated independently of the governors of the two states it served, Christie named Wildstein to the authority in 2010 to increase oversight.
"A lot of people felt afraid of him because of his direct line to the governor's office," Boburg said.

Governor Christie Responds, via NJ.com
Mr. Wildstein's lawyer confirms what the governor has said all along — he had absolutely no prior knowledge of the lane closures before they happened and whatever Mr. Wildstein's motivations were for closing them to begin with," the statement said.
"As the governor said in a Dec. 13 press conference, he only first learned lanes were closed when it was reported by the press and as he said in his Jan. 9 press conference, had no indication that this was anything other than a traffic study until he read otherwise the morning of Jan. 8. The governor denies Mr. Wildstein's lawyer's other assertions."

This is a shocking development. Christie is now damaged goods. If Wildstein's disclosures are as powerful as he claims, the governor must go.

Also this about Bill Stepien, Chris Christie's former Campaign Manager via Politico
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s former campaign manager is fighting a subpoena from state lawmakers investigating the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal, according to a letter POLITICO obtained Friday.
Bill Stepien’s legal team is asking the lawmakers to withdraw his subpoena on the grounds that it violates his Fifth Amendment rights — becoming the second person to turn to that constitutional protection since probes of the controversy have begun.

~~~~~~~~
This weekend is the Super Bowl and it is in New Jersey. And on that occasion I'm sure Governor Christie is delighted to be doing, like, sports interviews where nobody asks him whether he really is dealing with a Federal Grand Jury subpoena of his governor's office in this corruption scandal. But the Super Bowl is Sunday, and it will end on Sunday, and then will come and all of next week. And right now it looks like all of next week is going to be a real doozy.
NY Times Debunks #Benghazi ~ Pop! Go the Tea Party Heads
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The New York Times published the real story behind the Benghazi attack and Tea Party heads are 'splodin' all over the Right. They just can't let go of their favorite conspiracy theory, that all of this was either orchestrated by Al Qaeda and approved by Obama, or that Obama and Hillary and Susan Rice conspired to "ignore" the death and destruction. Either Obama did nothing, or Obama is a mastermind! Whatever - nothing can change the Tea Party minds!

From "A Deadly Mix in Benghazi" by David D. Kirkpatrick in The New York Times
Months of investigation by The New York Times, centered on extensive interviews with Libyans in Benghazi who had direct knowledge of the attack there and its context, turned up no evidence that Al Qaeda or other international terrorist groups had any role in the assault.
. . . Fifteen months after Mr. Stevens’s death, the question of responsibility remains a searing issue in Washington, framed by two contradictory story lines.

One has it that the video, which was posted on YouTube, inspired spontaneous street protests that got out of hand. This version, based on early intelligence reports, was initially offered publicly by Susan E. Rice, who is now Mr. Obama’s national security adviser.

The other, favored by Republicans, holds that Mr. Stevens died in a carefully planned assault by Al Qaeda to mark the anniversary of its strike on the United States 11 years before. Republicans have accused the Obama administration of covering up evidence of Al Qaeda’s role to avoid undermining the president’s claim that the group has been decimated, in part because of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

The investigation by The Times shows that the reality in Benghazi was different, and murkier, than either of those story lines suggests. Benghazi was not infiltrated by Al Qaeda, but nonetheless contained grave local threats to American interests. The attack does not appear to have been meticulously planned, but neither was it spontaneous or without warning signs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
. . . they didn't talk to the people on the ground who were doing the fighting and shooting and the intelligence gathering. When you put that volume of information, I think it proves that story is just not accurate.
. . . I find the timing odd. I don't want to speculate on why they might do it, but I can tell you that the information that's being presented in a way that we heard before ... through the [committee] investigation [we] have been able to determine [it] is not accurate in its portrayal.
~ Rep. Mike Rogers R-Michigan, Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
We have seen no evidence that the video was widely seen in Benghazi, a very isolated area, or that it was a leading cause. What we do know is that September 11 [the date of the 2012 attack] was not an accident. These are terrorist groups, some of them linked to or ... self-claimed as al-Qaeda linked. ... Before I go on, I wanted to make a very good point that [reporter David D. Kirkpatrick] put out. Look, it is not about al-Qaeda as the only terrorist organization.
. . . There was a group there that was involved that's linked to al-Qaeda. What we never said -- and I didn't have security look behind the door, that's for other members of Congress. ... Those sources and methods I've never claimed. What I have claimed, and rightfully so, is Ambassador Stevens [who was killed in the attack] and others alerted, well in advance, that they had a security threat.
~ Rep. Darrell Issa, R-California, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, leading GOP critic of the Obama Administration, Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice
If Times reporter David Kirkpatrick truly found “no evidence that Al Qaeda or other international terrorist groups had any role in the [Benghazi] assault,” this must be because he spent little effort to uncover any.
COME ON...Please, It is more than misleading information on Benghazi...It is Out & Out Lies. Rice still sticks to her story and never removed, only sifted to another Branch of Government to continue her support of Obama and His Muslim Brotherhood membership. I am so Furious, I could spit 44 Cal bullets from my mouth. Obama, Biden, Rice, Clinton, Jarret, Pelosi, Reid and even Numb-Nut Bone Head Boehner should be held for Treason.
More BS lies from the times, the paper of record for communist bastards worldwide. This lie that the act of war was caused by a video seen by a few people is cover for the vile prog Clinton’s run in 16. The regime was involved in arming terrorists and an AmeriKan ambassador and three other men were murdered and this regimes response is……………… nothing? That alone tells you the Marxist regime in DC preferred those men’s deaths because the criminal acts of the regime dies with those men. BHO and all members of this regime involved in the Benghazi cover up should be in prison for life, vile bastards the lot of em.
People! The Democrat’s political machine is running full bore in preparation for the next election. They need to throw several versions of the story out there to see which one gains acceptance by voters…once decided, everyone will stick to it. In the end, Hillarious Clinton will be a hero in all this…
~ StormCrow on The Blaze
The Benghazi attack had nothing to do with that film.
It was a planned attack, because it was the 11th anniversary of 9-11.
The Muslims’ holy lucky number is 11.
That’s also why New York was attacked on the 11th.
The New York Times. Huh. A subsidiary of the Liberal and Criminal Left Wing of American Politics.
I don't believe a word they write, and not a word of what they say.
Obamacare Equals Hurricane Katrina - Because IDIOTS
 photo hurricane-katrina.jpg
Health Law Rollout’s Stumbles Draw Parallels to Bush’s Hurricane Response
. . . The disastrous rollout of his health care law not only threatens the rest of his agenda but also raises questions about his competence in the same way that the Bush administration’s botched response to Hurricane Katrina undermined any semblance of Republican efficiency.
~ Michael D. Shear on New York Times
Just like Katrina, when the big problem President Bush had was diminishing the significance of what was happening, saying ‘Hey, way to go, Brownie,’—you had the president yesterday talking about glitches and kinks. This is bigger than glitches and kinks. The one difference was Katrina was a storm, the health care law was Obama’s creation.
. . . Maybe the Iraq War is a better analogy.
~ Conservative pundit Ron Fournier on MSNBC
There are moments in a presidency where everything is different afterward and I believe this is that moment. For us, it was Hurricane Katrina because while public support had been dropping for the war in Iraq, after Katrina, after many members of the public and every member of the Democratic Party viewed us as incompetent and it transcended to everything else we did. You know, you can't look in a crystal ball but I believe this is a moment after which everything will be different for the President. And if you look at the problems he's facing in the world, with Iran and other issues, he's going to miss his credibility very much.
~ Former Bush Communications Adviser Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC's Morning Joe, via Esquire
President's struggle so much in their second term. Everybody remembers what happened to Bush after Katrina. All those questions about his competence took hold. His second term never really recovered. Is President Obama in that kind of a position right now?
