The far-right and their Fox Noise Machine created Trump, and now they know they are stuck with him. If he loses, they lose to the Democrats. But if he wins, they still lose because they have to work with him and kiss up to him forever. There is no way to really win.

Erick Erickson - Misogynist Hypocrite Tells Haters to Back Off

First GOP Primary Debate on Fox

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Megyn Kelly of Fox News asked Donald Trump why he was so mean to women all the time, he spent the next few days on Twitter and in the media verbally slapping her around, even implying that she was hormonally challenged to dare ask him such a pointed question.
Up rode Erick Erickson, white GOP pundit on a white horse, to the rescue of the fair-white maiden in distress. He banished Trump from an event sponsored by his website, Red State, while allowing other Republican candidates to use the event to campaign against the Donald.
From The Atlantic
ATLANTA -- Donald Trump was supposed to be the keynote speaker at the RedState Gathering here, a convocation of the hard-core conservative activists who read the influential blog edited by Erick Erickson. But when Trump said on CNN late Friday that debate moderator and Fox News host Megyn Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever,” Erickson, who is a Fox News contributor, announced he had disinvited Trump from the conference. “There are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross,” Erickson wrote.
Decency towards women would be nice, yes. But Erickson has a problem with women.
In 2012, when Michelle Obama, Lilly Ledbetter and Tammy Duckworth spoke at the Democratic National Convention, he labeled it the "Vagina Monologues." Last year he started calling Texas Rep. Wendy Davis "Abortion Barbie" during her run for Governor. He has also written that since humans are animals, and males in the animal kingdom are usually dominant, then it was right and proper for men to dominate women in our society. The little women should stay out of the workplace, while men remained the breadwinners. It didn't even seem to matter to Erickson that this unequal view has always been backwards, that women in every society often function as breadwinners (or breadmakers, or bread sellers), or that many human societies are matriarchal, or that many animals are even matriarchal, Erickson just wanted every woman to know he was superior and dominant.
CNN Wingnut Erickson Goes Full Misogynist over DNC
Erickson Labels Wendy Davis "Abortion Barbie
Talking to Neanderthals: Megyn Kelly vs. Erick Erickson
So Erickson doesn't mind using anti-women rhetoric when it suits him. He can out-Misogynist Trump any day. He's a big-mouthed Tea Party War-On-Women Evangelical Jerk. So riding up to "help" Kelly with Trump in an act of rank hypocrisy.
Even this week, his website called Hillary Clinton a "homely" woman who "slept her way to power." What a gent!
The Atlantic called Erickson out about his misogyny:
. . . Molly Ball: Critics note that you also have a history of nasty and misogynistic comments. Do you really have any standing to judge Trump?
Erickson: You know, I’ve said some pretty stupid shit in the past, and I’ve apologized for it. I didn’t deny that I ever said it, I didn’t claim that my Twitter account was hacked. I apologized, said I was wrong, and had to deal with it. Trump’s reaction is, “I said whatever, not wherever.” No, he didn’t. I listened to the tape twice. I played it for the audience; they got the full context of it.
Yes, what Trump said about Kelly was despicable. But Erickson was the wrong champion to try and right the wrong.
And now it has backfired on him with his own true followers on Red State, which is poetic justice indeed. Even a week after the debate and when his event with the GOP candidates was over, Erickson was still getting horrible vitriolic hate mail on his website, and it upset is wittle feelings.
He appealed to his haters to just back off, because hate is not the answer. But clearly he has attracted such haters for years, being a hater himself.
Erickson: Can We Recalibrate?
. . . this one
You disinvited Trump! We’ve disinvited you. we had planned on streaming the event. That won’t be happening in our household. Hopefully you will become a conservative organization with some balls one of these days.
That one had a verse of scripture underneath.
Then there is this one.
Guess what, dumb bass, the non Washington Republicans, like us, want no fucking part of the current Republican Party, like you. Leave the real conservatives alone, quick mailing shit, quit begging for help, and most of all, KEEP BASHING TRUMP. You are incredibly fucking stupid.
and this one
Trump is the man! Fuck Eric Ericson. hope he and all women in his life are raped, beaten and murdered by illegal spics! Go Trump!
. . . Conservatives have a real and legitimate reason to be pissed off at the GOP. Polling suggests conservatives hate the Republicans in Washington more than Democrats hate the Republicans in Washington. That anger has galvanized conservatives and pushed them toward Donald Trump. To his credit, he has capitalized on that anger.
But folks, this is anger at an unhealthy level. It is anger that has gone beyond the righteous anger of repeated betrayals from Washington. It is an anger that has become unhinged and is potentially uncontrollable. Anger at that level is more often destructive than constructive.
Ya think? Oh, boo hoo. Erickson has been rabble-rousing these same sad people for years, so he can dish it out but he can't take it. And he's surprised that they quote scripture to him? He has a scripture listed on his twitter, where he rants about "Abortion Barbie." His hate-filled screeds against Michelle Obama as a "Marxist Harpy Wife" are sprinkled among Sunday School stories of his kids. He prays for Democrats while rubbing their faces with his manure.
This is what happens when a pundit has been paid by both CNN and Fox to spew acid for years, even while bragging about what a good Christian he is. Total cognitive dissonance about his own point of view. He is as tone-deaf as Huckabee about the Duggar family incest.
And Trump? None of this is hurting him with possible voters - he is sailing along at the top of the polls. Sorry, Erick Son of Erick.
Special Candidate Rand Paul Is Special
 photo 26969bc7-e9c9-44f3-9704-7d5e3f716566.jpg
Rand Paul just keeps on having problems. Maybe it's because he arrogantly believes that even though he is a public figure who says outrageous things then flip-flops, no one should call him out. He's a very delicate flower and a special snowflake, and journalists need to handle him with care. And forget everything he ever said.
You can read some of his snafus in my previous post about Day One, when he lectured Savannah Guthrie on how to be a journalist (he's an opthamologist/politician) and then got on the abortion train and made a fool of himself.
Rand Paul Runs For President - Crashes While Mansplaining
Rachel Maddow did a great piece on Rand's dysfunctional first week as a candidate, and had a few words to say about Mr. Special.
"Steve Schmidt who ran the McCain/Palin campaign in 2008 once famously said on this show that a presidential campaign is a "full-body scan" for everybody who runs at a high level. David Axelrod who ran Obama's campaign described it almost the same way ... "an MRI for the soul." Once you are officially running for President in this country you may like the political press in this country or you may hate the political press in this country, but if you are a candidate in this country at a high level because people take you seriously, you will receive so much scrutiny from the people who are running against you and by the press that is covering you all, that every single thing that is to be known about you, will become known."
~ Rachel Maddow
My favorite thing so far is that he is throwing cease and desist orders at campaign ads that don't paint him in a happy light. Yeah, good luck with that. Hasn't he ever run for office before? This is just kooky, and again he seems to think he should be treated differently from all the other candidates.
From Buzzfeed
The letter is an objection to a million-dollar ad buy by a group called the Foundation for a Secure and Prosperous America, led by Republican operative Rick Reed. The ad, which launched in early primary states on the day of Paul’s presidential campaign announcement, accuses Paul of supporting President Obama’s policies on Iran and of opposing new sanctions.
“The Advertisement attempts to deceive voters regarding Senator Rand Paul’s position on U.S.-Iran relations through at least three false statements,” writes Paul campaign general counsel Matthew T. Sanderson in the letter dated April 7, which was obtained by BuzzFeed News on Thursday.
Here's the ad:
So Rand is trying to stop an ad from a Republican group that portrays him as cozy on Iran with the President. Considering there are about ten other GOP candidates who want to see him crash and burn, we can expect to see many more of these ads. Sorry, but that goes with the territory.
Rand also let it be known that he is royally ticked that the NRA didn't invite him to their giant convention in Nashville this week, since all the other guys are there having a good time touching each other's guns, and stuff.
From Bloomberg
"The interesting thing is that there's probably no greater advocate for the Second Amendment in Congress than myself," Paul said today. "To not be invited, probably, will serve more to cast aspersions on their group than it would on me. Because my record's pretty clear. It probably looks a little bit petty for them not to invite a major candidate because I raised money for other Second Amendment groups."
He told Sean Hannity on Fox to pay no attention to his campaign snafus. He has an etch-a-sketch just like Mitt Romney, and he's not afraid to use it. Anything he said in the past can just be wiped away.
Rand Paul and Hannity, via Daily Kos
It's not fair, Paul testily claims, to ask him about stuff that he said before he decided to be a presidential candidate. Because that was before, or "a long time ago." ...
. . . Sean Hannity, not surprisingly, let him get away with it. On the previous Paul statement that the idea of Iran being a threat to the United States is "ridiculous":
"You know, things do change over time," Paul said. "I also wasn't campaigning for myself, I was campaigning to help my father at the time."
Hannity let that slide. He allowed Paul to frame his opposition to new sanctions that would scuttle the Iran negotiations as his way of telling Obama he'd "have to bring a deal back to" Congress.
Here's a litany of Rand's problems for the first THREE Days of his campaign.
He broke the copyright of a song he wanted to use in his rollout, and YouTube blocked him
From Mother Jones:
he gave a speech and the crowd ate it up and they cheered his name and then he finished and they clapped and cheered and the campaign uploaded the video of the speech to YouTube so that the world could clap and cheer and...YouTube bots automatically pulled the video for unlicensed use of copyrighted material.
Womp womp.
Warner Music Group, the official owner of John Rich's "Shutting Detroit Down," a song about how much it sucks that rich corporations own things, has now shut Rand down.
Both Billboard and The Washington Post have reached out to get to the bottom of this and neither Warner or YouTube have commented on the situation.
The campaign's video has now been deleted from YouTube (C-PSAN's remains)
He suddenly became "Dr. Rand Paul" on Twitter, because he is a self-proclaimed opthamologist. And I guess that gives him political cred with . . . somebody???
His website misspelled "Education." Derp.
A website map urging people to endorse Rand Paul was made with stock photos taken by a German photographer, probably in Germany. Those faces are not Americans! The photos, who were models, were removed pretty fast.
Rand was in South Carolina today but said nothing about the shooting of Walter Scott by a police officer which has been the top story on all news channels all week. Nothing. What kind of Presidential candidate says "nothing" about it?
But the day before on CNN - he was pro-Police.
Rand has inherited his father Ron's Bodyguard, but also a Bribery Scandal!
Trump Announces Another Failed Presidential Run
 photo 3331de6f-b652-4db9-99ca-bbd2fbcbf594.jpg
Yes, the title is correct. Donald Trump will never be the GOP Nominee for President, and certainly not the actual President. But that never keeps him from running again.
From the New Hampsire Union Leader
A senior adviser tells the New Hampshire Union Leader that Trump will not be renewing his contract with NBC for the reality television “Apprentice” series.
Combined with staff hires, Trump’s announcement that he will form an exploratory committee for the first time is a sign the billionaire is seriously considering running for the Republican nomination.
In his Full Statement, Trump makes this claim:
I am the only one who can make America truly great again!"
Let the mockery begin!!! :)
Speaker Boehner Says Romney Not Lovable
Photobucket
Speaker of the House John Boehner made these remarks at a fundraiser in Wheeling, West Virginia, on June 30th.
Via Roll Call
The Ohio Republican made the remarks when an unidentified woman asked during a question-and-answer session: “Can you make me love Mitt Romney?”
“No,” Boehner said. “Listen, we’re just politicians. I wasn’t elected to play God. The American people probably aren’t going to fall in love with Mitt Romney. I’ll tell you this: 95 percent of the people that show up to vote in November are going to show up in that voting booth, and they are going to vote for or against Barack Obama.
“Mitt Romney has some friends, relatives and fellow Mormons ... some people that are going to vote for him. But that’s not what this election is about. This election is going to be a referendum on the president’s failed economic policies.
“Mitt Romney believes, just like we do, that if we’re going to get the economy back, if we’re going to put the American people back to work, we need to fix the tax code, we need to stop the regulatory juggernaut that’s going on in Washington and we need to fix our economy. Solid guy, he’s going to do a great job, even if you don’t fall in love with him.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

. . . if a weepy romantic like Boehner isn't even going to bother trying to convince you that Mitt might just be the man of your dreams, then it's obviously time to admit that you settled and get on with it. Sure, you can make like Rupert Murdoch and get all publicly pouty, but what's the point? Your fate is sealed, forever intertwined with that of a humor-challenged robot whose religion probably weirds you out. On the plus side, he is very rich, and he's got a great head of hair.

It's sad that his kind of money can't buy love. All he has to show for it are mom jeans and cringe-inducing endorsements.

To me ...Romney is Our Idiot Brother, and Obama is The King's Speech. You can spend all the money in the world. If you've got a bad product, it doesn't matter.

Romney....I guess _____ sigh

Why not just nominate Ron Paul instead? Nobody is enthusiastic about Romney. Ron Paul at least has a chance to win in the general election. The Romney campaign is DOA.
~ comment by madonato on CBS News

No one, possibly even Romney, can tell who he is, what he is, what he stands for, and what he would do in the Executive Office. No one should,or can, love a will-o'-the-wisp ghostly light in the night, some smoke, an intangible, shifty phony.
~ comment by haturner on CBS News

Mr. Banner,
There's a reason you can't get people to love Mr. Mitt. It's because they fear he will do the same thing that the Republican George W. did to our country - destroy the economy. Mr. Barack pulled us from the brink of disaster and you can't handle that.
~ comment by shurch4truth on CBS News

Sure they will love Romney.
These are the same idiots that nominated Palin.

i'm waiting to see who makes the ballot.

With respect--John Boehner is wrong. I love the fact that Mitt Romney isn't Obama...We're not electing him to be well liked--you can always get a dog for that.
~ comment by lleone on Breitbart

Boehner has such a knack for rolling over and giving in--an establishment weasel
~ comment by Scoobydu on Breitbart

Boehner is a Marxist. He couldn't even pass a repeal of the light bulb ban because of all the Marxists in the RINOpublican party who bought into the Global Warming scam.
~ comment by Beekaaay on Breitbart

WTF is Boehner using for brains? Tapioca pudding? Good grief! Thanks for sticking the old shiv right between the ribs there, Boner. Romney is a highly likable guy. The problem is, the Old Media is making him out to be a bad guy no one likes. A vulture. A vampire. A capitalist running dog. Romney has to fight that false image every day. And now Boner comes out and parrots Old Media's propaganda? Whose side is Boner on anyway? Tell me the Chicago thug political machine hasn't flipped Boner the way they did Roberts.
