He was obviously inarticulate in making this point.
~ Romney's Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Paul Ryan, R-WI

[Romney] needs to be talking about the economy and not in Utah. He’s not going to get beat because of money. He ought to be running in Ohio and Florida like he’s running for governor and running in Virginia like he’s running for sheriff.
~ Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

Yesterday, the full Democrat-media industrial complex gave themselves heart palpitations over a leaked secret recording of remarks Romney made to prospective donors. A stenographer at Bloomberg hilariously declared the election "over." By my count, this is about the 4th time this week someone in the chattering classes declared his candidacy dead. The media is missing a larger point, however. While some of Romney's comments were inartful and somewhat misleading, the foundation of what he said is true. It is also in-line with the thinking of most Americans.
. . . In American presidential politics, the positive economic message always wins. This is Romney's moment.

Why is saying that 47% of the population is going to vote for barry hussien an insult? Is it because of the implication that anyone who votes for barry hussien is a stupid, self centered, lazy, whiner? Because that's just the truth. But then truth to libturds is like holy water to demons, sunlight to vampires(not the sparkly ones either)

You can hear the truth now, or you can hear the truth later. It's funny watching the "takers" flip out over a factual statement. Imagine what happens when the money stops...and it will stop...the clock is ticking and midnight is only a few Schlitz Malt Liquor beers away.....

Mitt is screwing up? You have went off the reservation there tonto. All Mitt has to do is keep breathing. I dont care if he hangs out with terrorists, is a closet muszlim, cant throw a baseball or has destroyed an entire economy....oh wait......thats Oblamatard.... oh well you get my point. We are voting against OTard. Romney is the lucky roadblock.....I mean republican. All he has to do is maintian a pulse until November and he will win in a landslide. Bank on it. After this election, we are coming back to clean up the rest of the mess. No go to town tonto and pick me up a few hookers and for cryin out loud, put down the peace pipe, you are out of your mind.

From TownHall.com:
Is Obama ahead? Does Romney have the incumbent right where he wants him, or is the election starting to slip away? What is the Republican’s path to those elusive 270 electoral votes required to win the presidency? In an exclusive discussion with TOWNHALL, a cluster of top Romney campaign rainmakers offer frank assessments of the current state of play and attempt to address those very questions.

“It isn’t slipping away,” Romney’s Political Director Rich Beeson says emphatically – on the cusp of mild-mannered exasperation – when the media’s doomsday narrative is first broached. A Colorado native and a major player on the successful Bush/Cheney re-elect effort in 2004, Beeson is even-keeled and good natured, yet his disdain for the emerging conventional wisdom that Obama has the election in the bag is palpable. Asked about rumors that Ohio is in danger of falling off the map for Romney, he shakes his head. “I’m going to push back really hard on that Ohio stuff,” he says. “There is absolutely nothing we’ve seen that has showed Ohio is remotely out of reach.” The campaign’s polling guru, Neil Newhouse, isn’t as delicate. “I’ve seen every single poll out of Ohio. My firm is also [polling] the Senate race out there. It’s baloney. I’d use stronger language if [Townhall] weren’t a family publication.”

Romney's October Surprise is Going to be Legendary
The thing about the set of leaked videos from a Romney fundraiser that nobody is talking about is this part: The video was taken at a $50,000 per plate fundraiser in Florida. You may not have noticed, but despite the blur there are a lot of plates in front of a lot of people.
This is what people are still not grasping about Romney: He's about to open up the money floodgates in a way that Obama can't match.

From the Rush Limbaugh Transcript September 18, 2012
I've been sworn to secrecy. Folks, this is common. If you knew what Republican moderate presidential candidates said to their donors, you'd be a little ticked off because you'd wonder why they don't speak that way in public. They are as conservative as you and I are. I've spoken to them privately. The candidates that I see on the campaign trail versus the ones that tell me what they really think are two different people. There is a fear of being conservative because of what has happened to Romney with this. They've been sitting on this video for a while. This goes back to, what, May, or what have you. But the objective here hasn't changed. It's been this way since maybe a couple of days after Obama was inaugurated.

We want to stop Obama. We have got to get Obama and the Democrats out of power if this country's future is to have any semblance of its past. We don't want this country to be finished, as founded. We don't want this country to be over. We don't want 47% of the country thinking that there's no hope for them. We don't want 47% of the country giving up. And, like I say, I don't think all 47% are made up of people who are dependent, but I know what Romney was trying to say to these people. He was basically telling these people that we have reached a crossroads in this country. You and I talk about it all the time.
