The President and his daughters were shopping in a Washington Bookstore called "Politics and Prose" when he starting joking about how sad he looked on the book cover of NBC pundit Chuck Todd's book, The Stranger.
President Obama: “Oh, Chuck Todd! Let’s see what Chuck has to say here ... The Stranger, Barack Obama-- looking lonely"
Malia Obama: “How is he already writing a book? Sad.”
Bookstore Checker: "They tried to find the saddest photo."
Pres. Obama: "He’s just sad."
Malia Obama: "It's a sad book."
