I was sort of depressed last night after Romney's cheerful and bizarre speech in Illinois in which he said all kinds of outrageous things about Obama (he would have stopped the Wright Brothers? really?) and made fun of the President for going to Law School. Yeah, that Law School . . . Harvard . . . the same one Mitt attended when he got a Law Degree.
But today has sooooo made up for it! :) This happened today on CNN via ThinkProgress (video at link). Fehrnstrom is a campaign aide to Mitt Romney.
HOST: Is there a concern that Santorum and Gingrich might force the governor to tack so far to the right it would hurt him with moderate voters in the general election?
FEHRNSTROM: Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes. It’s almost like an Etch A Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and restart all of over again.
Someone on Twitter suggested that this forevermore shall be called the "Fehrnstrom Gaffe" because hilarity has ensued, stores are selling etch-a-sketches like hot cakes, and the other candidates are shake-shake-shaking during campaign speeches today. Incredible!
